About bus.me.uk
Every bus in the UK and Ireland, on one live board.
bus.me.uk is a free website for finding your bus. It shows buses moving on a live map, live departures at bus stops across England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Ireland, and can nudge your phone when your bus is close to your stop. You don't need an app or an account to use it.
Operator apps usually show only that company's buses, and map apps mostly show the timetable. bus.me.uk brings every operator together and shows what is actually on the road, wherever that data is available.
Who runs it
bus.me.uk is an independent site run by Steven Smith in the UK. It isn't connected to any bus operator, transport authority or government body, and it isn't paid by any of them.
Where the information comes from
Everything on the site comes from published transport data. We're grateful to the organisations that make it available.

Live, estimated and scheduled
Not every operator shares where its buses are. So you can tell how much to rely on what you see:
- Yellow buses and "live" departures come from the bus's own GPS tracking.
- Red buses are estimates. The operator doesn't share live locations, so we show where the timetable says the bus should be. It may be early, late or not running.
- "Timetable" departures are scheduled times with no live information.
Our guide to how bus tracking works explains where the live data comes from and how buses are matched to their timetables.
Accuracy
We work hard to keep the information right, but it depends on data from operators and public bodies, which can be late, incomplete or wrong. Please allow extra time for important journeys, and check with the operator if you need certainty.
