SPT — Strathclyde

Glasgow and the west of Scotland

Strathclyde Partnership for Transport is the regional transport partnership for the Glasgow city region, covering twelve council areas. It runs the Glasgow Subway, manages bus stations and travel information, and supports socially necessary bus routes, while commercial services are run by First Glasgow, McGill's, Stagecoach and others.

Tickets

The ZoneCard is the multi-operator, multi-mode season ticket for the region, covering bus, rail and Subway. For single days, operator-specific tickets are usually cheaper unless you are mixing companies or modes.

Tracking Strathclyde buses

Scotland has no legal requirement for operators to publish live vehicle positions, so realtime coverage here is much thinner than in England. Timetables are complete, and we are pursuing additional Scottish data sources.

Fares, ticket ranges and network arrangements change — always check the operator's or authority's own website before travelling. Live tracking coverage depends on what each operator publishes as open data.
