Merseytravel — Liverpool City Region

Liverpool, Wirral, St Helens, Knowsley, Sefton and Halton

Merseytravel is the transport body for the Liverpool City Region, responsible for travel information, bus stations, the Mersey Ferries and the Merseyrail network, alongside a bus network run by Arriva, Stagecoach and independents.

Tickets

Walrus is the region's smartcard, and Solo and Saveaway tickets cover multiple operators. Merseyrail integration makes multi-modal tickets particularly useful here.

Change ahead

The Liverpool City Region is moving to a franchised bus network under the Combined Authority, with a new regional identity, following the pattern set in Greater Manchester.
