Arriva
Aquamarine buses across the North, the Midlands, the South East and Wales
Arriva is one of the UK's largest bus groups, instantly recognisable by its aquamarine and stone livery. It runs city and interurban networks across the North East, North West, Yorkshire, the Midlands, Kent, Hertfordshire, Essex and Wales, plus a substantial share of the contracted red-bus network in London.
What to expect
Arriva's network mixes dense urban operations — Liverpool, Leicester, Medway, Darlington — with long interurban routes linking towns that would otherwise have little service. Its London operations run under contract to Transport for London, so those buses are red and follow TfL fares rather than Arriva's own.
Tickets and apps
The Arriva UK Bus app sells m-tickets and shows live times. Regional day tickets are usually the cheapest option for a few journeys in one area, and contactless capping applies in most regions.
Tracking Arriva buses
Arriva publishes to the Bus Open Data Service, so its vehicles appear live on our map. In London, Arriva-operated routes appear as part of the TfL network.
